Plan for some temporary delays the first few weeks of school. There will likely be some slowing of the carpool line for a few weeks. Please plan after-school activities accordingly.
- The rules of the road still apply, as do the rules of moving through our carpool line.
- Stay off your cell phone! Safety Safety!
- Please do not block traffic coming in. Make sure cars can get around you.
- Once on campus, fill each lane before moving to the next. The lanes fill right to left. Lanes 1-7 are for everyone.
Afternoon Carpool Check-In Process
- The Check In button will not appear in the SDM app before 3:25 pm. Pushing the Check In button before you arrive on campus (e.g., while you are at home or the store) will cause the carpool line to slow down for everyone and your child will be waiting on the carpool line much longer than necessary.
- While in the Carpool Line, please push the Check-In button when the lane to the right of you begins moving. For instance, if you’re in lane 3, push the button when lane 2 begins moving. This will ensure that your students aren’t waiting outside for too long. This also helps reduce the number of students on the line making students able to see their cars more easily.
Notes
- If you don’t see your student(s) in the Cone Zone pickup area, please pull forward to the carpool attendant when cars in front of you begin moving. The carpool attendant will get your child's name and then ask you to pull forward to allow additional cars in the Recall area. This allows us to get more vehicles in behind you to keep the process moving smoothly.
