American Academy's Board of Directors approves the school year calendar for the next school in the spring of the previous school year, typically during the spring leadership retreat. When possible, the board will approve future year calendars. Future year calendars are subject to change.

 

School breaks (Fall, Winter, and Spring) are all aligned with the Douglas County School District (DCSD) breaks. For this reason, the American Academy Board of Directors approves American Academy's calendars after DCSD approves their calendars. Please note that other than breaks, the American Academy calendar does not necessarily align with DCSD's calendar.

 

When possible or if in doubt, please check your Infinite Campus parent portal > Calendar, OR refer to the online version of the school calendar here. These locations will always have the most current version of our board-approved school year calendar. Though the Board of Directors doesn't make changes to the school calendar very often, they do have the right to make changes when necessary or requested by the administration. The school will notify parents of board-approved school calendar changes in our newsletters and on the website.
