American Academy Presents Once Upon a Mattress - Youth Edition
Set in a quirky medieval kingdom, the story follows Princess Winnifred of the Swamp, an unconventional and spirited young woman who seeks to marry Prince Dauntless. However, Queen Aggravain, the prince’s overbearing mother, has declared that no one may marry until her son does—and she’s determined that no princess will ever be good enough.

To win the prince’s hand, Princess Winnifred must pass an impossible test designed by the queen. With the help of some clever friends in the castle, Winnifred takes on the challenge, proving that true royalty comes from courage, heart, and staying true to oneself.

This youth-friendly adaptation keeps all the humor, charm, and catchy songs of the original while being tailored for younger performers and audiences.
