5th Grade Parent Transition Meeting: Preparing for 6th Grade

As your family begins looking ahead to the transition into middle school this fall, we recognize that this new chapter can bring both excitement and uncertainty—especially for families navigating this experience for the first time.

6th Grade Parent Transition Meetings (respective campus)

CP: Monday, April 27 at 5:00 pm

LM: Monday, April 27 at 5:00 pm

MB: Monday, May 4 at 5:00 pm

This in-person session for parents is designed to provide an overview of what to expect and how to best support your student as they move into middle school. We want parents to feel informed, prepared, and confident (your students will have their own transition meeting during the school day0.

During the meeting, we will share important information about:

  • Academic expectations and how students will be supported
  • Communication practices and how to stay connected with teachers and staff
  • Daily schedules, routines, and what a typical school day looks like
  • Social-emotional supports available to students
  • Strategies to help your child build independence and succeed in middle school

Families will also have the opportunity to meet key staff members, ask questions, and connect with other parents preparing for this transition.

We strongly encourage all incoming 6th grade parents across our three campuses to attend. This meeting is an important step in ensuring a smooth and successful start to the school year.
