We know many of you have volunteer hours to record—don’t forget to log them in our Volunteer Tracking System! We’ll be sending your family’s total hours next week, so please make sure your hours are entered so we can properly recognize your contributions.

A few important reminders:

• Volunteer hours should reflect service to American Academy—classroom support, PTO, SAC, recess, carpool, library, and similar activities. Hours spent volunteering for outside organizations, even if they involve American Academy students or take place at the school, do not count. For example, helping TGA Tennis or leading a scouting group in a classroom wouldn’t qualify.
• Only actual time spent volunteering counts. Hours cannot be awarded for the dollar value of purchased items. However, time spent acquiring donations—driving to the store, shopping, or preparing materials—does count.
