Motsenbocker Families,

Following this morning’s gas odor on campus, Xcel Energy and the fire department investigated and cleared the situation. Students and staff returned to the building, and we resumed our normal school day.

Xcel Energy is now back in the area to repair an off-site issue along Motsenbocker Road. While our campus remains safe, their work will require a few changes for dismissal today:

• Walkers: The sidewalk along Motsenbocker Road near campus will be closed. Please cross at the flashing-light crosswalk and use the east sidewalk along Motsenbocker Road. See the image below for the adjusted route.
• The turn lane coming south on Motsenbocker will be shortened. Please follow the flow of traffic. We will still zipper merge into our lot from both directions.
• KindiePrep Carpool: We will load in lanes 1 & 2 as usual.
• K–8 Carpool: We will load in lanes 3–5 until 3:15, and then we will load lanes 1-5 for the remainder of today's carpool. Lane 6 will be closed to provide space for Xcel Energy vehicles and repair work.

Please take a look at the image below showing the closed sidewalk, closed carpool lane, and crosswalk to use.

We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we make these temporary adjustments and work to keep dismissal moving as smoothly and safely as possible.

Thank you, and enjoy the three-day weekend!
