Ready, Set, Robot! STEM Adventures Begin This January

From dinosaur discoveries to a cross-campus robotics showdown, AA students have exciting ways to build, code, and create this winter! Three STEM ECAs are coming to Castle Pines, Lincoln Meadows, and Motsenbocker.

Grades K–3: Speed into STEM with indi
A Jurassic Journey!

Send indi back to the age of dinosaurs! Students will team up to create a time machine, build a prehistoric landscape, and code their indi robot through its dinosaur adventure. Along the way, they’ll explore teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving.

This ECA begins in January, with families invited to a final project showcase. Registration is offered separately for grades K–1 and 2–3.

Grades 4–5: Sphero Showdown — Cross-Campus Robotics Competition
Code. Create. Compete.

Elementary students will combine coding and creative engineering to tackle real-world missions as a team. The excitement builds toward a cross-campus tournament, where students will put their skills to the test and compete for the AA Coding Champion title!

Grades 6–8: Sphero Showdown — Cross-Campus Robotics Competition
Bring your skills. Represent your campus.

Middle school teams will take on coding and engineering missions as they prepare for head-to-head competition against students from AA’s other campuses.

This ECA counts toward either the Robotics or Programming discipline in the AA Engineering Certificate program.

Sphero Championship Tournament
Both Sphero programs culminate in a cross-campus competition on March 3, 2027, from 4–6 p.m. in the Motsenbocker Gym.
