New Parent Info Meetings and Receptions - August 8

New American Academy Parents --This evening will include a brief review of what to expect at your new school and will be followed by a casual meet-and-greet reception. We hope you’ll join us for both!
New Parent Meeting and Reception (K-8)

*New Parent Meeting will last about an hour; reception is casual so you can leave at any time.
At the K-8 new parent info meeting (KindiePrep meetings are on a separate date and will be communicated by the KP Director), we will have administrative staff, front office staff, and teachers to speak with you about our school culture, along with policies & rules, student and parent expectations and student support, homework, and carpool, etc. You will also have an opportunity to ask some questions and a chance to meet members of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) to see how you can get involved in your new school!
The reception will be informal and fun, and a great chance to speak with some teachers, administrators, PTO and Board of Directors members, and to mingle with other new parents.
Can't make it to the information or reception? It's ok! There will be an All-Family K-5 & KindiePrep Open House and PTO Social on August 15 at each campus, where you can bring in school supplies, meet teachers and ask any last minute questions. And once you know who your homeroom teacher is, you are welcome to email him or her to ask questions.
*We respectfully ask that parents leave all students and little siblings home on this night. We LOVE the kids (of course)! But this evening is an important opportunity for the grown-ups to listen and be heard without distractions. Please make other arrangements in advance for childcare on this night.
