American Academy is excited to announce the evolution of our former WATCH D.O.G.S. program into Rebel Watch—a volunteer initiative designed to strengthen school safety, support our staff, and build positive connections across our campuses.

Rebel Watch continues the mission we’ve always valued:

• Promoting positive adult role models

• Supporting family engagement

• Enhancing student safety

• Strengthening our community

As our program has grown, we saw an opportunity to tailor it more closely to who we are as American Academy—our Rebel culture, our values, and our commitment to a safe, welcoming environment.

Why the Change?

Rebranding to Rebel Watch allows us to:

• Put an American Academy identity on a program our families already love

• Emphasize safety and visibility as our top priorities

• Welcome all caring adults (dads, moms, grandparents, aunts, uncles—everyone!)

• Provide clear volunteer expectations and roles

• Increase visibility on campus with our new red-and-blue vests and updated logo

Rebel Watch volunteers will be easy to spot in their new vests—and even Magnus, our LM Rebel Watch pup, will be in uniform!
