In the winter season, our student athletes will focus on Basketball for both boys and girls.  Boys Basketball commences in October with tryouts immediately following fall break, and Girls Basketball will start in January, after the holiday break.  American Academy teams will compete against other local teams in the South Metro Charter Conference with an opportunity to advance to the playoffs.  

Additionally, we offer a skills based team at each campus for students who prefer to defer tryouts and develop their skills (possible competitive game play as well) in preparation for joining one of our varsity our junior varsity teams in the future, or as a means of focusing on skills exclusively in preparation for high school.
