Board of Directors Representative
Bryan grew up in Colorado before heading to the Midwest for school at the University of Michigan. After graduating from UofM, he took a position in the private equity space in Chicago before ultimately moving back to Colorado with his wife Laura in 2012. They now live in Parker and currently have two sons at the American Academy Lincoln Meadows campus. Bryan’s work experience is largely finance-related, having operated in the private equity industry for approximately 15 years, before moving over to his current place of employment at Armstrong Capital Development - a commercial real estate investment group. Outside of work, Bryan’s family stays busy with all sorts of sports and they love to travel as a family when they can find the time. |

For her day job, she works as a marketing developer for Naked Wines. She went to CU Boulder and is really excited for CU football this year - GO BUFFS! |

![]() Chair & Parent Representative (MB) The Beechum family has been at the Motsenbocker campus since it first opened. Stacey says, "We have loved every second of being with American Academy which is why I am proud to be serving the school." Stacey served three years on the Motsenbocker PTO, two of which were as President. Additionally, she has served on the SAC for the past four years. In her work life, she has 18+ years IT and Marketing experience in Digital Product Management. Her oldest has since moved on to high school and she also has a middle schooler at Motsenbocker. In the Beechum’s spare time they enjoy a family rivalry between the Broncos and Packers (Go Pack Go!), Legos, and playing trivia games. |

![]() Interim Executive Director of Schools Tami Bostick has been part of the American Academy community since its inception. Her journey began as a parent when her two sons joined the school, with one of them being part of the pioneering class that graduated from Kindergarten through 8th grade.
Over the years, Tami has worn many hats at American Academy—serving as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and now as the Interim Executive Director of School and Chief Academic Officer. Her extensive experience and unwavering dedication to the school’s mission reflect her deep commitment to the foundational values and vision that have guided American Academy since its founding.
Tami’s leadership is deeply rooted in the school’s mission to provide an exceptional educational experience that fosters academic excellence and character development. She is dedicated to upholding and advancing the values that form the bedrock of American Academy, ensuring that every student benefits from the nurturing and innovative environment that defines the school.
Her contributions have played a significant role in shaping the school's growth and success, and she continues to be a driving force in maintaining the high standards and vision that American Academy strives for.

![]() AAPTO-LM Representative Katie and Sara are co-presidents for the Lincoln Meadows PTO this year and will be sharing all responsibilities, including SAC representative.
Katie and her husband Joe have three boys who all attend American Academy. Their family loves the outdoors and what CO has to offer in all the seasons. Community and people are two of Katie's favorite things. You can usually find her trying something new, whether in food or activity.
Although Sara and her husband aren't Colorado natives, they have lived here most of their lives. The Lemons have three kids at American Academy and two golden retrievers. In their free time they enjoy being outdoors, hanging out with friends and family and supporting their kids in their various activities!

Parent Representative (LM)
Beth, a lifelong learner from southern Colorado, has earned numerous professional certifications worldwide, including becoming a certified educator for Raspberry Pi in the UK and a Google Certified Teacher in Australia. With over two decades in education, including internships in Australian public schools, she brings a unique global perspective to her work. Beth regularly presents on Technology, Computer Science, Physical Computing, Making, and alternative education. She is also a member of the Colorado Education Commissioner’s Teacher Cabinet.
Beth holds a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Northern Colorado and a Master's certificate in Educational Technology from Regis University. She previously taught middle school technology at all three campuses of the American Academy and continues to support the community as a LM Parent. Driven by a passion for helping others and a love of learning, Beth seeks to make the world a better place by enhancing educational experiences for both children and adults.

Recorder, Parent Representative (MB)
Celia comes from a military family and lived in many states throughout the US. She went to high school in Albuquerque, NM and came to Colorado for college. She got her Bachelors degree in Mathematics from Regis University and later got her Masters degree in Mathematics from UNC.
Celia has been a teacher for 14 years and is currently teaching math at Legend High School. While at Legend she has served as the Math Department Chair and a member of the instructional leadership team. Her current classes are teaching freshman in Algebra 1 and helping seniors get college credit through ACC and also AP Calc BC. Celia and her husband Creyton moved to Parker in 2012 shortly after getting married. They have 2 kids that both attend American Academy Motsenbocker since 2019. Reagan is in 2nd grade and Turck is in Kindergarten. Both kids started at AA in the Kindie prep program. Celia is passionate about education especially allowing for parent voices and choice to be a part of their student's education. She has enjoyed volunteering at American Academy over the years especially helping out in the classrooms as room mom. Celia is excited to pursue more of a leadership role at AA and work collaboratively with other parents, educators and administrators to continue the legacy of American Academy.

![]() AAPTO-CP Representative Amber was born and raised in Houston, TX, and received a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Texas A&M University (Go Aggies!). After college, and following her husband- a native Australian, she spent 10 years in Perth and Sydney, Australia. Both her children, Ava and Logan, were born in Australia. In 2014, they made their journey back to the US, and settled in Denver. Her family joined the American Academy community when Ava started Kindergarten. Amber has loved serving American Academy in many roles including Restaurant Nights Committee Chair, VP of Fall Fundraising, Room Mom, PTO President and now Board Advisor. Amber has a passion for community service and fundraising, and can’t wait to continue utilizing her talents for American Academy. |

In 2020, Christy joined the District Accountability Committee (DAC) for DCSD as a parent representative. She currently has three children who attend AA. |

![]() CP Teacher Representative My name is Sarah Thomasson and I am a second grade teacher at the Castle Pines campus. I have been teaching at American Academy since the 2012/2013 school year where I began as a fourth grade teacher. I have a husband that is a firefighter in Aurora, two daughters, and a dog. One of my daughters has left the nest and is working in theater doing sets, costumes, and makeup. My youngest just finished her time at American Academy and is attending high school this year. I am honored to join the SAC as a teacher representative. American Academy means so much to me and my family as I have grown throughout the years as an educator. It was also a wonderful home to my daughter and it prepared her for this next chapter in her life. We will always be grateful for her time at AA. |

![]() LM Teacher Representative & Voting Member As a teacher, I am passionate about teaching children to be problem solvers. The American Academy schools foster this type of learning both socially and academically in a culture of respect and responsibility and I love working here. I joined the AA family in 2018. I taught for several years at Motsenbocker in 5th grade as the science teacher. Then I moved to the STEM department and I am currently teaching 3-5 STEM at Lincoln Meadows and facilitating as the Lead Teacher for all 3 campuses. Outside of the school, I am a wife and a mom of three girls in their 20’s. I am a very active person and enjoy all the outdoors have to offer- hiking, biking, skiing, boating. I also love to cook and read.

I have been teaching since 2010 and I have my masters degree in reading leadership from Western State University. I have a daughter, who is in middle school and she has attended AA since Kindergarten. I love being a part of this community as both a parent and teacher and I am excited to continue to help AA maintain its excellence through my role in the SAC.
