Camp, canoe, kayak and explore the fairy tale setting of the Pacific Northwest woods!
Ancient forests, alpine terrain, coastal marine habitats, and the largest river restoration in U.S. history make Olympic National Park the ultimate outdoor living laboratory for our Grade 6 students. We travel to Lake Crescent in the Pacific Northwest to collect and identify macroinvertebrates, study the adaptations of local mammals, explore the wild coastline, and more. The goal of this STEM trip is for students to learn about a healthy relationship between natural and human communities and how to foster sustainability.

Itinerary
DAY 1 - Fly to Seattle- travel to NatureBridge campus, NatureBridge orientation
DAYS 2-6 - Olympic National Park - Guided exploration of old growth forest, wilderness coast, alpine peaks and Lake Crescent including outdoor classroom experiences, field explorations and hikes, skins and skulls lab, water quality and watershed monitoring studies, kayaking, canoeing, camp wrap-up activities and ceremony)
DAY 6 - Fly to Denver

TRIP PRESENTATIONS
It is a requirement for one parent/guardian to attend a trip presentation meeting to qualify for advancement in the trip registration process and for your child(ren) to attend the trip.
