President
Chris was born and raised in Southern California, moving to Colorado in 1991 where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University and an MBA from the University of Denver. He has worked in cable/telecommunications since 1999, mostly in corporate finance roles. Chris, his wife, and three daughters have called Highlands Ranch home since 2000, and all three girls have attended the Castle Pines campus.

Jodi Losinger
Vice President
Jodi is very excited to join our American Academy board of directors.  She and her husband, Tim, have 2 kids, Kara and Abby, and they love being part of the American Academy family. She is kept busy with many sporting events, ski weekends, spending time with friends and family, and traveling. Jodi is currently the Vice President of Tax with Air Methods Corporation, where she has worked for over 7 years. Prior to that, she was a Tax Director with PwC. Jodi also serves on the Board of Directors for both the Air Methods Foundation as well as the Denver Chapter of Tax Executives Institute. Jodi has served as the Castle Pines PTO president for years and is looking forward to serving American Academy in this new capacity.

Secretary
Kay Wan is originally from the beautiful Pacific NW town of Portland, Oregon. After receiving her bachelor's degree in Communications-Broadcast Journalism, she worked for television news stations in Portland, Seattle, Las Vegas and Denver. Kay has covered many national stories as a field producer for ABC News, Good Morning America, CNN, and FOX News Channel. Kay and her husband, RJ, moved to Parker, Colorado in 1999, and they have two children. They joined the American Academy family in the inaugural year of the Parker campus. Kay joined the BOD in 2015, and before that she served on the Parent Advisory Board and SAC.

Nicole Smith
Treasurer
Nicole graduated with a B.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She and her husband, Reed, are both proud CU Buffaloes (GO BUFFS!). Nicole worked for Great-West Healthcare for 10 years before she decided to stay home with her boys Eli and Sam. The family was at the CP campus for five years before transferring to Lincoln Meadows in 2017. Nicole has volunteered in many capacities over the years at American, most recently as PTO President and SAC representative of the Lincoln Meadows campus for their inaugural year.

Director
Shaylee Holland grew up in Arizona and received a Finance degree from Northern Arizona University and a law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law. Shaylee is an attorney who serves as a professional fiduciary in the fiduciary firm that she owns and which has estate and elder law clients all over Colorado. She has served on the American Academy Board of Directors in some capacity since 2008. Shaylee and her husband have lived in Colorado since 2002. They have 3 children, all of whom have attended American Academy from Kindergarten through 8th grade.

Ashley McDonald
Director
Ashley lives in the Castle Valley neighborhood of Castle Pines with her husband Kevin and their two children who attend American Academy Castle Pines, Charlotte and Beckett. Ashley is a working mom, serving as the Assistant Vice President of Sustainability for the National Pork Board. Growing up on a farm in Missouri she has spent her entire career advocating for farmers and ranchers through agriculture policymaking and sustainability initiatives. She previously served as the Senior Director of Sustainability for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA), Executive Director of the U.S. Roundtable for Sustainable Beef, Director of State Legislative Affairs for Missouri Farm Bureau, and Environmental Counsel for NCBA. She holds a degree in Agriculture Economics from the University of Missouri and a Juris Doctorate degree from Antonin Scalia Law School in Arlington, Virginia.

Alison Rausch
Director
Alison grew up in Northern California and obtained a BS in Economics from Santa Clara University. After a career with a home builder/developer, she stayed at home with her two children. Alison, her husband, Carl, and their two children moved to Colorado in 2003. She and Carl now operate their own business in Douglas County. Their oldest child started at American Academy as a Kindergartner in its first year and their youngest started in 2008. Alison has been involved with American Academy since its opening, serving on both the AAPTO-CP Board and the PAB.

Director Emeritus

Adil H. Khan is a qualified Electrical Engineer with a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and several certifications in technology applications. In addition to being a CEO of Accentz, Inc., an engineering and technology solutions company, Adil is the founder, President, and CEO of TransPower Company a R&D and technology manufacturing company.

 

For the past 30 years, Adil has been involved in next-generation technologies and is focused on the inventing, developing, manufacturing, launching and commercializing game-changing high efficiency patented technologies and solutions to commercial and industrial customers. Some of the technologies are Voice over IP, Solar Energy, ECMs and Energy Efficiency technologies.

 

Adil is a founder and member of the several Governing Board of Directors of non-profit organizations. Adil is an Adjunct Professor of Strategic Management at Denver University and serves as a member of the Advisory Board for the Center for Management Development at Denver University. Adil is a founding Board Member serving on the Board of American Academy K8.

 

Adil has been nominated for many awards, including a recipient of the State of Colorado, Governor’s Award, 2013 Martin Luther King Business Social Responsibility Award for “Content of Character.” Adil moved to Colorado from Wisconsin 30 years ago. He is married and has two children.

 

Adil is the president and CEO of Amplidyne, Inc., a technology company based in Colorado. Adil has been in the high technology industry for more than 16 years and most recently served as the President and CFO of Microtech-Tel, Inc. Adil is an adjunct professor at the University of Denver, specializing in strategic management and operations management. He is an active member in the education community. He has served as a University of Denver board member and is currently serving as the President of the Board of the Colorado School Resource Center. Adil is married with two children.
