Only middle school students (grade 6-8) have summer history assignments. Assignments are listed below by grade.
Grade 6
6th grade students will need to memorize the list (below) of geographical features using a map over the summer, and will be assessed on these topics when they return to school. They will be expected to label a blank map with each feature, and spelling will be counted.
-The following regions of the world:
North America, Central America, The Caribbean, South America, Europe, Africa, The Middle East, Asia, Australia, and Antarctica
-The Prime Meridian (including coordinates)
-The Equator (including coordinates)
-The Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn (including coordinates)
-The 5 Oceans (Atlantic, Pacific, Arctic, Indian and Southern)
-The Arctic and Antarctic Circles (including coordinates)

Grade 7
In 7th grade, a great deal of your time will be devoted to learning about events in Europe. To prepare for this task, you will need to learn the locations of the nations of Europe. Please use the following resources to learn where the nations are, and practice being able to locate them on a blank map. The first week of 7th grade, you will take a test to show your skills on labeling these countries and spelling them correctly.
